Sarah and Sebastian's wedding 25th September 2010
Thank you for all coming and making the day fantastic!
There are a few people we forgot to thank specifically on the day so we'd like to amend that here. First of all a huge thank you to LIZ ROLT (Jane's mum). Some of you know the story behind the cake but for those who don't.............Sarah picked up an Ukranian tradition from Jane where each side of the family makes a layer of cake and they are then brought together at the wedding. Lovely but not particulary well thought out as the cakes then had to come from Yorkshire and the Isle of Wight (thanks AUNTIE MERYL, JEAN (Seb's mother) and VALERIE (Sarah's mother)-you were all very sporting. Sarah then iced them, brought them to Shawford and Liz travelled all the way from Wales (5-6 hour round trip) to fix her amazing handmade sugar flowers onto the cake a couple of days before the wedding. What a star! Incidently, the cake was cut a couple of days later. We knew we'd get round to it............
Other thank yous we forgot or would like to re-iterate include VALERIE & GILL (beautiful wedding favours), the DESSERTERS, LEONIE & TIMBO (dips), OLWEN (van decorator), TIM, LYNDA, CATHERINE & REBECCA (cavalry the night before), MAYA, ISOBEL, SONIA, JODIE & MAGGIE (flower girls, mothers and grandmother), SIMON (photographer), MARK and JAMES (firestarters), SINGERS & MUSICIANS.
Thank you RUTH, PETER, JEAN & PAUL for all the hard work and support in the week leading up, what would we have done without you? RUTH, well, thanks are simply not enough for putting up with the invasion and for all the hospitality and fun!
An enormous thank you goes to MARK, we forgot to thank you for the website!
DES, VERA, PEGGY and MAGGIE (Sarah's Grandparents and Olwens') mum were sadly unable to make it but did get some very well travelled cake!
Please up load your photos onto the page, we'd love to have a copy and if you have any moments you'd like to share that we may have missed add them to the comments page, if not, make something up. We didn't get round to a wedding book.
